Pastor Jonathan was born and raised in Dearborn, MI and Christie was born in Detroit and grew up in Hartland, MI. They met at a student ministry at Michigan State University and were married in 1993. In 1997 after seminary (MDiv. Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary) the Swifts spent a year in Jordan studying Arabic, then returned in 1998 to Dearborn to serve with their home church. In 2003 Jonathan answered a call to pastor Evergreen Baptist Church, in Tacoma, WA. Later the Swifts (along with their five children: Joshua, Jacob, Jemmilie, Judson, and J.Christopher) took an assignment in Lebanon teaching Bible at the Beirut Baptist School in 2007. Eventually they moved to Southern Lebanon heading up leadership development and theological training with a church plant in Tyre. Jonathan also undertook a Master of Sacred Theology in Islamic Philosophy at the Near East School of Theology in Beirut at the time (STM, 2013). Now he is leading the team establishing Christ Community Church in Dearborn. He returns annually to Lebanon to lead pastoral training with partner churches and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry at Westminster Theological Seminary, Philadelphia. The Swifts enjoy family camping, hiking, sailing, skiing, theater, frequent visits to Greenfield Village and the DIA, Dearborn Baseball league, Tiger's games, and serving the Dearborn community.

Peter is our "elder-in-training" soon to be ordained for leadership in CCC. Peter is a Master of Divinity graduate of Moody Bible Institute (Plymouth, MI campus) and an ordained Chaplain in the Army National Guard of Michigan. Peter and Becky are both Michigan natives and have four children.

Kasi Holmes attends the University of Michigan - Dearborn and leads our team of worship music accompanists in providing an eclectic blend of "Psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs" for the glorious worship of God by his people at CCC.
